The North Penn Squires Fall Flag Football Program is an intramural, non-contact football program designed for Kindergarten and 1st Grade athletes serving families in Lansdale, North Wales, and the North Penn area. Our goal is to introduce young players to the fundamentals of football in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

Our Flag teams participate in the ICFL (Inter County Football League) and focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Registration

Registration opens in early April.
Registration will be announced on our website, social media channels, and by email to families who have joined the interest list located at the top of our homepage.

Practices

Practices begin in early August and are held at our fields on Hancock Road in North Wales, PA, located across the street from Gwyn-Nor Elementary School. Click Here for more field information.

In-season practice schedule:

• Tuesdays & Thursdays

• 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Consistent attendance at practice is critical to player safety, skill development, and team success. If your player will miss a practice, please communicate directly with your coach.

Heat Acclimation

North Penn Squires Football recognizes the importance of proper conditioning during the summer months to ensure player safety.

Heat acclimation takes place throughout the month of August and allows players to gradually adjust to physical activity in warm temperatures while emphasizing hydration, rest periods, and progressive intensity.

Families are encouraged to plan vacations around this period whenever possible so players can safely and effectively complete the acclimation process.

Games

Games are typically scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays from September through late October, with most games played on Saturday mornings.

• Games may be held at Squires Field located in North Wales or at an opponent’s field within the region

• Travel is typically no more than 50 minutes

• The full game schedule will be released in August, prior to the start of the regular season

Rules and Expectations

North Penn Squires Football follows USA Football guidelines to promote safety, fair play, and positive sportsmanship.

All players, parents, and coaches are required to read, review, and sign the Code of Conduct prior to the start of the season. These forms are available on the website in the Coaches Corner.

Equipment

North Penn Squires provides the following required equipment for all Flag players:

• Helmet

• Pants

• Multi-piece pad set

All issued equipment must be returned at the conclusion of the season.

Items families must provide:

• Cleats

• Mouthpiece

• Athletic supporter & cup

Optional items (not required): gloves, arm sleeves, etc.

Please note: A $75 equipment retainer check is collected and held during the season. The check will be forfeited if equipment is not returned.
