General Information

SIDELINE & COMPETITIVE CHEER

“Cheerleading is a display of discipline, practice, dedication, determination, skill, and athleticism.”

We pride ourselves on being the steppingstone to providing your child with the proper cheerleading techniques to prepare them for middle school and high school cheer.

Registration

Early registration opens in March.  Please register by setting up an account through our homepage.

All children in grades K-6 are eligible to participate.

Season

Our season runs late July/early August though the end of October.  Our competition season will typically continue into November and December.

Practices

Practices are located at our home field on Hancock St. in North Wales, directly across from Gwyn-Nor Elementary School.  Practices are typically 3 evenings/week in July and August.  Once school begins, practices are 2 evenings/week.

Once the weather gets chillier, we will hold practices indoors at an indoor facility within the school district.  Please understand the district assigns us a school gym.  Gwyn-Nor is our top preference each year but we are unable to choose the school gym location.

Games

The ICFL posts the game schedule typically in mid-August.

Games are on Saturdays or Sundays in September and October.  Each squad has 1 game per weekend.

ICFL Cheer Off

All cheer athletes will be able to perform in the ICFL Cheer Off, hosted by one of the league teams. This gives them the opportunity to show off their hard work and half-time performances. This is a non-competitive performance (date and location TBD).

Cheer Uniform

Uniform includes skirt, shell, and bow.

Parent or guardians will need to provide navy blue bloomer/shorts and white sneakers.

A white fitted long sleeve top for under shell and navy-blue leggings for under skirt are recommended for the colder months.

Competition Info

Competition is optional.  All practices are mandatory and additional practices may be added. Competition season typically begins around late October.  Practice location is dependent on the school district. We strive to participate in 2-3 competitions per season.

Volunteers

Volunteers are a necessity for our organization to operate. We are a nonprofit organization run completely by dedicated parent volunteers.

Every season we need new Coaches, Team Parents, and Board Members.

Please email [email protected] if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
