Parent Code of Conduct
North Penn Athletic Association (NPAA)
Home of the North Penn Squires
The North Penn Athletic Association is committed to providing a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families. Parents and guardians play a critical role in supporting this mission. By participating in NPAA programs, parents and guardians agree to uphold the following Code of Conduct:
Parents and guardians shall:
-
Remember that youth sports are meant to be fun and developmental, and that winning is secondary to learning, effort, and teamwork.
-
Demonstrate good sportsmanship by showing respect, courtesy, and positive support for all athletes, cheerleaders, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators at all practices, games, and events.
-
Encourage athletes to always do their best, understanding that effort and improvement are more important than the final score.
-
Refrain from yelling at, criticizing, or ridiculing any athlete for making mistakes or losing a game.
-
Respect and accept all decisions made by officials without argument or confrontation.
-
Understand that athletic contests and practices are educational experiences that help athletes grow both on and off the field.
-
Support team commitment by ensuring athletes attend practices and games when possible and communicate with coaches when conflicts arise.
-
Avoid unsportsmanlike behavior, including booing, taunting, arguing, throwing objects, or engaging in confrontational behavior toward anyone involved in the event.
-
Refrain from using profane or inappropriate language at all times during NPAA activities.
-
Model positive behavior and help reinforce that being a good athlete also means being a respectful teammate, student, and community member.
-
Follow all rules, policies, and procedures established by the North Penn Athletic Association and its governing leagues.
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including removal from events or suspension from program activities.
